Coach screws have a coarse timber thread for self-tapping into pre-drilled timber beams and posts also known as lag bolts or lag screws, are heavy-duty wood screws used mainly in timber-to-timber construction. Coach screws have a hexagon head for easy insertion in high-torque applications.
